Laurie Lattimore-Volkmann of SB Nation’s “Mile High Report”, a Denver Broncos news site, dove into the former Commodore and Ball State quarterback and posed the question: Is the former Vandy QB going to be more than just a camp arm?
Based on watching him struggle to adjust to the improved competition of the SEC, i would answer no. However, Neal did impress coaches and earn the opening day starting job due to his electric arm. The touchdown pass to Cam Johnson in the win over Missouri certainly shows what coaches saw in him.
