Austin Martin Drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays

Vandy Boy Austin Martin was drafted 5th overall by the Toronto Blue Jay organization on Wednesday night. Despite falling outside the top 3 picks, where many experts had predicted he would be taken, Martin looks to make his impact felt in Toronto.

The 6’0”, 170 lb. utility player out of Jacksonville, FL had quite a successful career during his time with the Commodores, including his role in winning the 2019 College World Series. Out of high school he was drafted 37th by the Cleveland Indians but elected to play for Vanderbilt and Coach Tim Corbin instead.
