The Dore Report can confirm what many Commodore fans expected after seeing the release of Tuesday’s depth chart: star LB Dimitri Moore and key RB Keyon Henry-Brooks will both play after missing last week’s matchup with Texas A&M, sources close to the Commodore football program confirmed to The Dore Report. The additions should significantly bolster both sides of the ball.
Dimitri Moore is at the heart of the Commodore defense which had a very solid showing versus a talented Texas A&M offense a week ago. Moore was the team’s leading tackler in 2019 (99 total) and is projected as a high pick in next year’s NFL Draft. He also opted back into the season after previously opting-out during the offseason. He missed last week’s matchup due to an undisclosed minor injury.
Henry-Brooks, who saw extensive action as the backup to Ke’Shawn Vaughn last year, missed the first game due to sickness (non-COVID related) and is expected to have a sizable role in Vanderbilt’s offense moving forward. Many at the Dore Report believe he brings an added explosive element to a Commodore backfield that saw solid performances from Ja’Veon Marlow (16 attempts, 65 yards) and Jamauri Wakefield (15 attempts, 37 yards) versus the Aggies. At the least, he brings an additional threat to a three-headed backfield.
The Dore Report will be covering Moore, Henry-Brooks and the rest of the Commodore football squad as they take on the #20 LSU Tigers Saturday evening in Nashville.
