The Vanderbilt vs. Missouri matchup scheduled for this Saturday, October 12 has been postponed, as first reported by Power Mizzou.
Vanderbilt was limited to only 56 scholarship players in Saturday’s 41-7 loss to South Carolina. Players who were out included Donovan Kaufman, Dashaun Jerkins, Randall Haynie, and Ja’Veon Marlow. SEC teams have the option to opt a game as a “no contest” affair if there are less than 53 scholarship players who can play. Vanderbilt is also suffering from unusually large numbers of opt outs and players who have transferred away from the program.
Vanderbilt and Missouri both have an open date on December 12th, and the SEC announced the game as “tentatively rescheduled” for then.
