It’s pretty obvious Coach Mason has not a good start to the wild 2020 College Football Season by any means. An 0-4 Record is bad enough but when he compiles a 153-47 score differential, and a defense that’s giving up almost 40 points a game, this is just not going to cut it. At all.
Not only has Mason performed poorly on the field, you could say he hasn’t done a great job off the field as well. As the 2021 recruits rap up their Senior seasons, the Commodore recruiting staff will start to put a close to this recruiting cycle in the next month or so.
Vanderbilt currently ranks 61st nationally and 14th in the SEC for 2021. This recruiting class took a massive hit last week as Vanderbilt’s top overall recruit, WR Jack Bech, announced he would de-commit from the Commodores and ultimately flipped to LSU last weekend.
Coach Mason aggressively bounced back on Tuesday morning as Vanderbilt received their top overall recruit for 2021, 4* WR Quincey Skinner Jr from St. Aquinas High School, (Fort Lauderdale, FL).
