Vanderbilt lands a MASSIVE recruit on Friday morning as 4-Star DT Marcus Bradley announces via Twitter he will be committing to the Commodores. Bradley, the former Maryland commit, attends Quince Orchard High School in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
The 6’3 270 pound product is one of the highest rated recruits ever to commit to the Commodores. The Maryland native ranks 175th nationally, 14th by position, and 8th in-state per 247 Sports.
Bradley held offers from college football powerhouses like Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Georgia, Florida, Texas A&M, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Tennessee, Penn State, and many more. For Coach Mason and his staff, this one is a huge get to beef up the defensive line depth for many years to come.
For the 2021 recruiting class, the Commodores now have five defensive line commits. These include DT Tank Sugick, DT Tyler Bence, DE Jacques Hunter, DE A.J. Campbell, and now DT Marcus Bradley. This will eventually pay off big time for Vanderbilt as the young talent looks to own the line of scrimmage on the defensive side of the ball. Nonetheless, Bradley is a cherry on top for this defensive front in the 2021 recruiting class. Hear what Bradley had to say about Committing to Vanderbilt in his conversation with The Dore Report:
- On why Marcus ultimately chose to Commit to Vanderbilt:
“Great degree, in between both my Family, and I love the staff & defense”
- On what Marcus would say to the haters doubting the direction of the program:
“This a Weird year with college ball I think with no corona and the addition of this 2021 class we’ll be fine”
- On how much of an impact close friend Tank Sugick had on Marcus’s recruitment:
“He had a pretty good impact because I gotta make sure I’m next to dawgs and we from the same place so having somebody right there with me is good as well”
Commodore fans, please welcome the newest football recruit for 2021, DT Marcus Bradley.
As Always, Anchor Down!
