As the class of 2021 wraps up this Wednesday with presumed signatures from commits like CJ Taylor (S), Michael Mincey (ILB), and Dylan Betts-Pauley (RB), it will be interesting to see what surprises (if any) materialize for Coach Clark Lea’s first recruiting class that’s largely been put together by the previous staff.
The class of 2021 currently sits at 49th (247) and 32nd (Rivals), making it a solid first recruiting class for Coach Lea to work with. Other prospects already signed include Marcus Bradley (DT), Terion “Tank” Sugick (DT), John Howse IV (DB), Xavier Castillo (OG), Quincy Skinner Jr. (WR), and Alan Wright (DB) among others. You can view the class of 2021 on 247 or Rivals.
The class of 2022 has seen many highly-touted prospects receiving offers from Coach Lea’s staff, which includes the previous overseer of football prospect rankings at 247, Barton Simmons. I believe this Commodore staff will have no difficulty identifying top talent to raise the program to new heights. Getting a few of these offers to sign would do big things for this program moving forward. Below are just a few class of 2022 prospects who have received offers:
Jordan Allen (DB – Lafayette, LA)
Khamauri Rogers (DB – Lexington, MS)
Jaydon Hodge (S – Ocala, FL)
Myles Pollard (DB – Brentwood, TN)
Sam Horn – (Pro-Style QB – Suwanee, GA)
Jeremiah Alexander – (DE – Alabaster, AL)
Dylan Sampson – (RB – Geismar, LA)
It definitely feels like there’s a new energy around the Vanderbilt football program. Stay tuned to The Dore Report for further recruiting and football coverage!
