
Billy Derrick, Founder/Host
Billy is a graduate of Ave Maria University in Naples, FL & majored in Communications. He relies on his faith in God to stay inspired and guide each step of his life.
During his time at AMU, Billy worked within the university’s athletic department as the Play-by-Play broadcaster for all 3 major sports – football, basketball, and baseball. Chad Withrow, radio host at 104.5 The Zone in Nashville, praised the young journalist, “Billy had the passion and foresight to start his own podcast at the age of 12, and had the talent to turn that podcast into a success. I’m confident that we are all witnessing the start of a productive career in sports media.”

Will Byrum, Co-Owner/Co-Host
Will received his undergraduate degree from Tennessee Tech University in Finance and graduated from Tennessee Tech University with his MBA with a concentration in finance. Will has been a lifelong Vanderbilt fan and a football season ticket holder since 2003.
He currently works as a senior financial analyst & previously worked in investment banking.

Brian A. Carlson, Writer
Brian received his undergraduate degree in Psychology at Lipscomb University and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from MTSU. For the past 15 years he has worked in Special Education with school systems in Davidson, Rutherford, and Wilson counties. He gained his love for Vanderbilt sports at an early age through his father, who is an alumnus of Vanderbilt Medical School. Together, they have been season ticket holders for over 30 years. Now Brian is passing that love along to his own family, including his wife and two daughters.

Jalen Merricks, Writer
Jalen is currently a freshman at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and is majoring in Sports Management. He was born in Denver, Colorado, but moved to Nashville as a kid, after his father accepted a job at Vanderbilt University. Jalen has had football and basketball season tickets for a number of years, and he enjoys all sports. He is a Mount Juliet High School alum, and has some experience working with sports teams, high school and professional. He hopes to one day work for Vanderbilt Athletics.
